Additional Information

Workspace Areas was recently released in ArcGIS Online (June 26). A new update, v1.16, for the Indoors mobile apps (both iOS and Android) to support this capability is planned for Aug 9.

Workaround

Use Indoor Viewer web app until the new update for Indoors mobile is made available.
