Additional Information

We apologize that we were unable to address this issue within the current product support cycle.  If the issue continues to affect your work in a supported release, please contact Technical Support.

Workaround

  1. Drop, re-create, and re-register the view with the geodatabase, inputting the new extent manually in the register with the geodatabase tool if necessary.
  2. Update the extent manually in the SDE.LAYERS table using SQL. This however does not update the same information in the XML of the SDE.GDB_ITEMS table, which means the two will be out of sync. An enhancement request (ENH-000106516) is currently open to give users the ability to update the XML within the GDB_ITEMS table.
