The error message, "ERROR 160107: Unable to update area or length field in response to shape update" is returned when running the Extract Package tool to extract a vector tile package in ArcGIS Pro.

Workaround

Check the 'Create Ready to Serve Cache Dataset' check box in the Extract Package tool settings, and the tool runs successfully.
