The error message, "Access Denied. You account does not have access to this site" is returned when group members attempt to access the Portal for ArcGIS sites if the visibility is configured as 'Team.'

Additional Information

When the user creates a site, it creates a Site Application item. When sharing to a 'team' in the ArcGIS Enterprise Site app, it is automatically shared with anyone in the 'Core Team' (if one exists). If the user does not want to set up a core team, create a separate group, add users, and share the site item to the group.
