Additional Information

If the desire is to create something like a tunnel that is open on both ends, the inner layer is supposed to protrude through the outer layer on each end. Instead, the faces of the ends between the inner and outer layers are nearly coincident. This makes it unclear whether the inner layer is supposed to protrude through. It is ambiguous.
