Addressed in next release. To be fixed in 10.0 sp3.Workaround
Copy the toolbox and the script from the workaround folder under test data path to a local directory. In ArcMap, browse to the toolbox, open the tool and enter your feature class as input to the tool. The tool makes a copy of the input and runs deletes the duplicate features.Steps to Reproduce
