The Create Thiessen Polygons tool fails with the error message, "Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. Error 000308: Invalid Field Type" when Input Features have a Global ID field and the Output Fields parameter is set to 'All fields'.

Workaround

  1. Make a copy of the data and remove the Global IDs.
  2. Run the Create Thiessen Polygons tool against the copied feature class.
  3. Use the Add Global ID tool to add Global IDs to the output polygon.
