The contents of feature attributes can be displayed in pop-ups by hovering over with a click, but this does not work with a MapImageLayer.

The technical article (https://support.esri.com/de/technical-article/000024297) shows how to create a pop-up display by mouse hovering. MapView.hitTest is used to accomplish this, but MapView.hitTest() does not support MapImageLayers. Refer to https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/api-reference/esri-views-MapView.html#hitTest for more information.
