Workaround

  • Use a projected coordinate system (PCS).
  • Perform the following workaround if the user must work in a geographic coordinate system editing environment:
  1. Set the XY tolerance when creating the feature class. For example, 0.000106177 is about 10m, depending on the locale.
  2. Use the Planarize tool, and use the value '0' for the cluster tolerance parameter. This can bring in the XY tolerance from the feature class to be used in the tool, and provide an accurate cluster distance value for the latitude. Refer to https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/tool-reference/environment-settings/xy-tolerance.htm for more information.
