The CheckGeometry function does not detect the null geometry in the SQL Server enterprise geodatabase, but it does in file geodatabases.

Null geometry is not checked or repaired for enterprise database feature classes using the Check Geometry or Repair Geometry geoprocessing tool. This is documented for Repair Geometry: 'Delete null is not available for data stored in an enterprise database, enterprise geodatabase, GeoPackage, or SpatiaLite database.'
