The behavior described is expected. According to the documentation, "Once a nonempty value is returned, the question behaves in the same way as the manual mode.". In the steps outlined, the value was automatically populated when opening the survey, as the question was initially empty. Since then, the calculation mode for this question has switched to the manual mode, explaining why the value cannot be automatically populated in editing mode in the inbox.Steps to Reproduce
