Workaround

The input data's spatial reference can have invalid properties to be corrected before use. In particular, the XY resolution and XY tolerance are not set to the default and are less than the recommended separation from one another. Refer to https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/analytics/geoprocessing-resolution-tolerance-and-hair/ for explanations on the impacts of changing these properties from the default, and how to fix the impacts.

Alternatively, use either of the following workarounds:

  • Use the Pairwise Buffer tool.
  • Run the Buffer tool with the NONE dissolve type.
  • Run the Dissolve tool with the Buffer tool dissolve NONE output as the input.
