The Big Data Spatiotemporal (BDS) hosted feature services return an error when queried using the Query widget in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, only when the filter is set to be case-insensitive.

Workaround

Check 'Case Sensitive'. This modifies the syntax of the SQL expression so that the Upper() function is no longer present and takes the casing of the string specified; must have data that honors the case specification.
