Additional Information

Bearing Distance To Line tool generates geodesic lines (not planar). The input bearing values are used as geodesic bearings internally. The result of Bearing Distance To Line is correct. The values in the “bearing_test” field, computed by Calculate Geometry Attributes are not geodesic angles but planar angles, therefore, it is not appropriate to compare it with the input bearing values. For the purpose of verifying the output bearing, ArcGIS Pro currently does not have an option on the Measure Angle tool to measure geodesic angles . It also does not have an interactive tool to construct geodesic line by a starting point, a distance, and a bearing angle. These tools may be added in a feature release.
