The Basic Viewer app template Search box is not expanded by default when viewed on certain phones (e.g. Samsung Note 5, Galaxy S7, Google Pixel XL, Nexus 6P).

The new version of the basic viewer reflects a design choice that is made based on a lot of user feedback. The new design allows the title of the app to be visible when the app loads in portrait or landscape and the search to be accessible. The old design only allows access to the search box and hides the title.Steps to Reproduce
