Workaround

Ensure the GNSS receiver is on the latest firmware and NMEA strings are enabled on the receiver. Ensure GNSS Direct does not have a connection to the device preventing ArcGIS Survey123 from establishing a connection. Refer to the website for the latest R1 firmware, https://www.trimble.com/globalTRL.aspx?nav=Collection-109385.

To enable NMEA strings:

  1. Open the GNSS Status app.
  2. Connect to the receiver in the app.
  3. Select the menu and select NMEA.
  4. Move all NMEA strings to Selected and save the settings.
  5. Remove the connection to the receiver from GNSS Direct and connect in ArcGIS Survey123.
