The product version number displayed (in the 'Add or Remove Programs' window, registry hive, etc.) adheres to the following format: Major.Minor.BuildNumber (e.g., 2.7.26828). Installed patches are displayed in Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates.
