The development team has considered the issue or request and concluded it will not be addressed in the current release cycle. If this is still a concern, contact Esri Support Services.Workaround
Set symbology expression within ArcGIS Online:
- In ArcGIS Online, edit the expression by selecting the layer's Change Symbology icon.
- Click the Choose an attribute to show drop-down > New Expression.
Set custom symbol:
- Click Options under Types (Unique symbols) for the layer's symbology, and select each icon.
- Navigate to the Shape window, then upload the symbol's custom image by selecting Use an Image.
