The ArcGIS Online hosted feature layer is unusable due to the publishing job never complete (the publishing status is still visible in web traffic but publishing crash confirmed by support).

The development team has considered the issue or request and concluded it will not be addressed in the current release cycle. If this is still a concern, contact Esri Support Services.Workaround
If the service is accessible from the REST endpoint via the Services Directory and can be successfully added to a map and used, the publishing status may be clearable by Esri Support. Otherwise, the service may need to be republished. If publishing a large dataset, publishing smaller batches of data may be a more successful solution (publish an initial subset of the data or an empty schema, then append subsequent additional data subsets).
