The ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension is randomly writing too many records to ArcGIS Online feature layers used to update the State of Vermont's official COVID-19 dashboard available at https://www.healthvermont.gov/covid-19/current-activity/vermont-dashboard. This issue is identified as FMEENGINE-68673.

This issue is not reproducible.

Workaround

To avoid this issue, execute one of the options below.

  • Supply the ObjectID or GlobalID created by users when inserting features instead of allowing ArcGIS Online to assign them. That way, a retried write does not create duplicate rows. An error might be returned, but it can be handled more effectively as needed.
  • Use the Asynchronous Writes option introduced in FME 2023 (FMEENGINE-60596 [safesoftware.atlassian.net]).
