The Append tool returns a warning message, “000594” if a source feature class contains more than 1000 features, a target feature class has a feature-linked annotation class, and also has an index based on a GUID column.

Workaround

  • Before executing the Append tool, drop an index created on a GUID column from a target feature class.
  • Remove the relationship class or create the relationship class with the message direction set to 'NONE' or 'BACKWARD'.
