Additional Information

The alignment is taking effect. It is more obvious after increasing the width of the widget. In the menu tabs, there's a padding space around the text and for the provided sample app, the text takes up all the space, so the center, left and right look the same. After increasing the width of the widget, and changing the alignment, it shows a significant change.
