The Add Attribute Index geoprocessing tool no longer accepts hosted feature layers as an input data type after ArcGIS Pro 2.2.X upgrade. The error message, "This data type is not supported" is returned.

This issue is not reproducible with the latest version of ArcGIS Pro.

Workaround

Install an earlier version of ArcGIS Pro than ArcGIS Pro 2.2.0 manually.
