The abstract of a Web Mapping Service (WMS) that is entered in the service properties during publishing is not preserved for the Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) when it is brought into ArcMap.

Additional Information

WMS and WMTS are two different types of extensions available on a mapservice. Abstract information entered on WMS extension will not be transferred to WMTS.
