The issue has been reviewed by the development team. It has not been prioritized into a release plan and will be monitored to determine its overall impact. Factors that are considered in the prioritization process include the number of users affected or requesting the functionality, business impact, whether a workaround exists, among others. If a bug is adversely affecting your business, see How To: Escalate a defect (https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000024129).

Workaround
There are two potential workarounds:
- Use the radio buttons or combo box element instead of the switch option in the 'Input Type' section.
- Alternatively, create the layer first and then add it to the ArcGIS Field Maps Designer without saving the switch question to it. The issue does not occur if the layer is brought in from a file or another ArcGIS Field Maps Designer form without the faulty switcher question being saved to the layer (only saved to the map).
For example, a layer created from an Excel form in ArcGIS Online can be added to the ArcGIS Field Maps Designer without triggering the bug.
