There is an edge case. It is not to be addressed.
Workaround
The customer has identified the following workaround:
- Create a new experience using ArcGIS Experience Builder.
- Insert the pre-configured single submission survey into the experience using the survey widget and select the existing survey.
- Optionally, change the size, appearance, and such of the survey in the experience.
- Save the experience and publish.
- In the editing mode of the ArcGIS Hub site, embed the experience by adding an application card. Search for and insert the experience with the survey. Click save.
- Save and publish the edits to the ArcGIS Hub site.
- Now when viewing the published ArcGIS Hub site, if a submission has already been submitted by a user, the survey reads the message 'You have already taken this survey. Thanks!'.
