Stream curve entities from the Microstation V8i DGN files extent past the proper length, and lines which are intermittent are made continuous when brought into ArcMap or converted to geodatabase.

Workaround

Save the file as a DWG file in Microstation. The drawback is that all the colors from the original CAD file are lost.
