SQL Server only: On an SDE-schema geodatabase, a Windows authenicated login that is not the DBO user in the database cannot rename a feature class that the user owns.

Workaround

Currently the only workaround found is to reload the object with desired name or use the DBO schema for initially creating the geodatabase. Objects created that are owned by a windows user associated with the DBO schema do not experience this issue.Workaround #2:1) Copy/Paste the feature class. 2) Within the Data Transfer window, enter the desired name in the Target Name box.
