Additional Information

Validate performance is related to the subnetwork traces being run during validation. Trace times are high because the subnetworks traced are large. In the test case presented, 3 large traces are run during the validation with the majority of the time spent querying the adjacent junctions and edges for each junction as well as checking whether each element encountered is a condition barrier. The time to trace all of these elements falls in line with expectations for the number of elements processed per second. The underlying issue is related to the subnetwork definition for the tiers. After updating the subnetwork definition to stop on closed device status, validates are not taking more than a couple of seconds. A possible course of action is to set 'Manage IsDirty = false' for all tiers. This enables subnetwork traces to be run but does not require this to be done on validation. This speeds up validations until the data is in a clean enough state to turn it back on.
