Additional Information
This is currently a known limit in online feature service.
We can only accept OGC compliant geometry. We also try to avoid failing and we validate the geometry using the online data store-geometry library.
This is not the case for other feature services that are based on esri geometry.
It is the client's responsibility to use only OGC compliant geometries when publishing to online. We do have a GP tool that allows that client to be sure all geometry are good for online.
We do have a future project to enhance handling of geometries that are not valid. But currently no plan to address this in the next few releases because of the impact on other clients that do not case about Z or M.

Workaround
When measuring data, increase the precision of the data by ensuring additional significant digits in the coordinate values. This decreases the likelihood that the vertices are considered coincident.
