Bug

Shapefiles without a .cpg file extension return the "save edits failed" error message after using Layer Search under Locate and stop drawing on the map. The features experience the same behavior after exporting to a new shapefile.

Additional Information

Do not delete shapefile components from the folder structure to avoid data corruption.

Workaround

Export the shapefile into a geodatabase.
