Additional Information

The tool does not support searching using a geodesic distance. Use the Select Layer By Location geoprocessing tool using "WITHIN_A_DISTANCE_GEODESIC".

Workaround

Use the "WITHIN_A_DISTANCE" option. This avoids selecting the feature.
