Workaround
1. Right click on SDE connection-> go to versions -> create a version as ‘version_test’ and assign property to ‘Public’.2. Right click on Feature dataset/feature class/network dataset in Arc Catalog and Register as versioned.3. Right click on SDE connection->go to connection properties->under Connection details change the version to ‘sde.version_test’4. User Feature Class to Shape file (multiple)’ tool under ‘Conversion tools’ from ArcToolbox.5. Feature Class to Shape file (multiple) window opens, then Select the feature classes from SDE connection as input and give the output path to a folder. It creates the shape files of the input feature classes in the destination folder.
