Additional Information

The nullable property comes from the fieldMap. The fieldMap has some default behaviors, one of which is that fields are nullable=True. The fieldMap is used by many tools, and the behavior has been as-is for a long time making it risky to change and potentially affecting existing users' workflows. We will not change this behavior.
