Additional Information

The Apply Symbology From Layer tool is a class of tools that operates against a layer in a map only. When the tool is scheduled, the processing that happens against the layer is temporary, as scheduled tasks cannot make changes to maps and projects and have them saved when the project is reopened. This is a known limitation that the Apply Symbology From Layer tool (and created batch tools involving this tool) does not work to symbolize the layers in the project.
