Renaming the Catalog items (folders, databases, toolboxes) in the Contents pane of an ArcGIS Pro project does not take effect when the user clicks outside the edit box.

This issue is fixed in ArcGIS Pro 2.6.

Workaround

  • Rename items from the Catalog view or the Catalog pane.
  • Click Enter instead of clicking outside the edit box.
