Bug

Related tables are not displayed at REST in ArcGIS for Server 10.4 as they did in ArcGIS for Server 10.2.2 for two layers sourced from the same feature class.

Additional Information

This behavior is as designed. The relationships are in-memory relationships and created only for the layer named ‘ParcelsOne_hasRelatedTables’, but not for the other table named ‘Parcels’. Earlier releases of the software behaved differently (as noted in the bug). But this behavior was met with many requests to change it. Here is the reasoning on one of the requests to make the change: If the layer does not have relationship defined, map service will not list those relationships, just because there is another layer (referring to the same feature class) happens to have relationships defined. If the need is to have a relationship show up in the map service resource for the first layer then add those relationships in the first layer as well.

Workaround

If the need is to have a relationship show up in the map service resource for the first layer, then add the relationships in the first layer as well.
