Additional Information

Dirty areas are created for the extent of the association when working with Utility Network Version 3. The new model for dirty area management introduced with ArcGIS Pro 2.6 and Utility Network Version 4 works differently and creates dirty areas for the individual features alone and excludes the extent of the association.

Workaround

Upgrade to the Utility Network Version 4 or higher.

For a version 3 network, use the following alternate workflows to avoid the large dirty area. Conduct the entire workflow in the default version.

  • Delete the association in a named version and reconcile or post the change before moving the point.
  • Delete the association in the default version and move the point in the named version.
  • Instead of moving the point, copy and paste the point to a new point, delete the old point, and move the new point to the desired location.
