Querying a map service based on joined fields when the join has been established between a feature class in Oracle and Table/Feature class in SQL Server returns the following error message, “Failed to execute query.”

This issue was not reproducible in-house and will not be addressed at this time. If the issue persists, contact Esri Support Services.

Workaround

Query with the joined field name within the double quotes in the WHERE clause.

For example, “[DatabaseName].[Schema].[Table Name].Field” = ‘Attribute’
