Additional Information

This is an artifact on client application. Turn off the 'smooth line art' rendering feature in the Preference settings for Acrobat Reader, and the hairlines will not display.

Workaround

  • Using right angles as the degrees for the rotation. For example, setting the rotation degree to 0, 90, 180, 270, 360 will not result in any hairlines showing up.
  • When adding the map service using New Map Viewer, use the advanced settings to add a rotation parameter to the service.
  • Remove the basemap.
  • Use the default printing tool provided by deployment.
  • Change output formats other than PDF (PNG32, JPG, GIF).
