Previewing or zooming on an SDE feature class fails with errors: One or more layers failed to draw or the specified coordinate exceeds the valid coordinate range if a shapefile was imported to an ArcSDE geodatabase using the 'shp2sde' tool.

The shp2sde tool has been deprecated. Please use the Feature Class to Feature Class geoprocessing tool to import shapefiles.Workaround
