Pop-up media in Collector for ArcGIS (Android) does not display content using a URL from a publicly available domain server link. The service does not load, or the following error message is returned, "Unfortunately Collector for ArcGIS has stopped working."

Additional Information
A PDF file is not a supported file type to display as an image within the pop-up. ArcGIS Online documentation for 'Configure pop-ups', under the section for 'Show images' explains that 'PNG, JPEG, and GIF images are supported'.
