Polygons with true curves exported from SDE to a file or personal geodatabase using Feature Class to Feature Class tool do not recalculate Shape_Area field values and maintain the SDE Shape.Area values instead.

Export from SDE to the file or personal geodtabase using ArcaMapright-click on layer -> Data > Export Data
