Additional Information
Map Viewer Classic does not support vector symbology. This symbology is published from ArcGIS Pro and the renderer on the layer item uses vector symbology. The JSON of the item states drawingInfo: renderer: {type: "simple", symbol: {type: "CIMSymbolReference". This is not supported in ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 3.x web apps such as Map Viewer Classic and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. There is no plan to update ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 3.x to support these renderers.
Workaround
Use Map Viewer, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Instant Apps, and ArcGIS StoryMaps as these apps use ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 4.x where the renderers are supported.
