Additional Information
Many improvements are made to the geodesic buffer since ArcGIS Pro 2.7. Refer to https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/analysis/how-buffer-analysis-works.htm for how line features are buffered. If the same buffer operation is performed against input line vertices (using the Feature Vertices To Points tool), this output (which is very similar to the intermediate step of creating offsets mentioned in the documentation) matches the ArcGIS Pro 3.x line output buffer much closer than the buffer in ArcGIS Pro 2.7.Steps to Reproduce
