Opening a Custom Wayback Imagery Web Map basemap in ArcMap does not honor World Imagery for the selected date.

Workaround

• Add the imagery to ArcGIS Pro by creating a Custom Wayback Imagery Web Map according to the workflow below:
  1. Navigate to the World Imagery Wayback web application.
  2. Select a date of choice and click the Add this release to an ArcGIS Online Map (Cloud button) icon.
  3. Navigate to the ArcGIS Online symbol at the upper-left corner, and click the Open these versions in a new Web Map icon. This opens a pane to save the map as Custom Wayback Imagery Web Map.
  4. In the Custom Wayback Imagery Web Map item details page, select Open in ArcGIS Desktop > Open in ArcGIS Pro.
• Add the imagery to ArcGIS Pro by adding the imagery directly from the Portal tab in Catalog when logged in to ArcGIS Online in ArcGIS Pro.
