On ArcGIS Field Maps, if the file name of a photo taken is in multibyte character and is associated with a layer, the thumbnail of that image is not displayed on the map or application.

Issue was resolved in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4.

Workaround

  • In ArcGIS Field Maps, when taking a picture, change the file name of the picture to alphanumeric characters and add the data.
  • Reset the pop-up window in Map Viewer.

The workflow starts by opening the map in Map Viewer where the issue was reproduced. Click Pop-up, then click Options (icon: ...) on the right side of the settings, such as attachments. Next, click Delete, disable Enable Pop-up, and then reconfigure the pop-ups again.
