- Use an .xlsx file.
- Open the CSV file in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and add an alphabet (For example, 'a') to a new column under the affected field. This forces the field to be read as a text field in ArcGIS Pro.
- Force a field type by creating a schema information file (schema.ini). Refer to https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/tables/add-an-ascii-or-text-file-table.htm#GUID-B0FEB6D7-1468-4672-8A34-AD3F6CAC4428 for more information.
