Workaround

Remove z values from data: -Create to a New File Geodatabase and Import the feature class to the newly created Geodatabase by disabling the Z values in the Feature class to Feature Class tool > Environment > Click in Z Values > In the Output as Z values drop down click in "Disabled". Hit Ok.-After this has been converted perform the "Multipart to Singlepart"
