Modifying the source cache directory does not result in the imagery service fetching tiles from the newly designated cache directory.

Workaround

After the cache directory is changed, run the Clear Rest Cache operation to clear the ArcGIS REST API cache. Leave the folderName, serviceName, and type parameters blank to clear the entire cache.
